Due to COVID-19 all Kuumba Nia Arts performances and events are on hold. The wellbeing and safety of our artists, participants and audiences always come first - so when we restart 'live' events on the other side of lockdown we shall adhere to government guidelines.
Take good care and be safe.
Kuumba Nia Arts continues to bring African heritage stories to life in our work. The global story that is unfolding right now - the demand for justice, equality and truth led by Black Lives Matters in recognition of George Floyd is supported by us.
The struggle of African Americans is the same as the African heritage struggle here in Britain and is shared by people of African decent around the world.
We support this freedom struggle and shall continue to tell our stories of our existence in this world.
At the end of all of this new interest in the 'Black experience' and spotlight on our truths we hope that real world change is made for the good of all.
We stand in solidarity with the BLM campaign.
We remember and call the names of George Floyd, Ahmaud Abery. Breonna Taylor, and those who have died at the hands of the police in the US, here in the UK and around the world.
We invite you to watch the film Injustice by clicking on the photo to find out more about deaths at the hands of the police here in the UK.
